It depends on your home type and water system.
Small apartment: 1–2 valves + 3–5 sensors
Standard household / private house: 2 valves + 5–8 sensors
Large house or multi-system building: 3–5 valves + 8–12 sensors
Simple rule: Count how many water meters you have. You need the same number of valves.
If you're unsure, you can send us photos of all visible pipes and water meters, and our technician will tell you exactly which set you need.
No. Sensors only detect water leaks. The actual water shut-off is done by the automatic valve installed on your water pipes. Sensors send a signal – the valve closes the water flow.
Sensors should be placed in all locations where water leaks are most likely to occur. Recommended locations:
Washing machine – 1 sensor
Kitchen sink – 1 sensor
Dishwasher – 1 sensor
Bathroom (shower/bathtub, sink) – 2 sensor
WC (behind the toilet, under the sink) – 2 sensor
Boiler / water heater – 1 sensor
Underfloor heating manifold – 1 sensor
Utility/technical room – 1 sensor
A typical household needs 4–8 sensors, while larger homes may require 10 or more.
